Australia is one of the most beautiful countries in the world and is also hailed a major travel destination. If you have not had the pleasure of visiting a hometown parade in a smaller community on the 4th of July, it is really a treat. Our small parade has the same feel as the one in Marshfield. It is not hard to find yourself swept up in a moment of pride in our country and the people who have served in our armed forces. On the 4th of July, it doesn’t matter where you are, it is about Americans celebrating our heritage and our travel insurance history. Mass tourism has played a huge part in damaging some of the most vulnerable and beautiful places on Earth, and adventure travel is fighting back! It is responsible travel, thoughtful travel, it is travel that ensures that we preserve the world for our children to enjoy. Forget the passport! There are plenty of places within the USA to visit as the country has vastly different cultures, geographies and scenery. The south and west are most popular, but a visit to the Northeast can provide beautiful winter vacation spots.
Traveling is definitely easier these days and there is no doubt about that. It enriches and broadens our outlook towards other fellow human beings. We stayed on the major freeway. Traveling between the Florence region and Venice and back again gave us the opportunity to view the landscape. It changes so much. The rolling hills of Tuscany become almost mountainous and then drop down to the plains that lead to the Adriatic coast and Venice. These changes all happen in less than three hours of driving if you don’t get lost. Everything was green and beautiful. Drinking from bottled water, avoiding ice and washed vegetables is usually recommended, because Canadian stomachs are not familiar with the bacteria found in the local water which could cause stomach problems for sensitive tourists. However, this resort seemed to take great pains with its water, because none in my group nor it seemed none from other groups had tummy troubles! We ordered every drink with ice for the entire stay and were fine. You’ll however need to determine your own sensitivity as it concerns the the vegetables, ice, salads and water.
A vacation should be a fun and exciting experience and not a source of stress. The key to making your vacation relaxing, fun and hassle free is to pay attention and learn how to travel smart. Tourists in Cuba can only use Cuban Convertible Pesos, abbreviated as CUC, for money. At the Melia Cayo Santa Mario there is no bank. There is a Cadeca, a money exchange office, located to one side of the lobby bar. It is open daily for most of the day. Well written and informative article about the winter resorts, around the World. We usually travel during this time of the year, but not this time. I have been to Switzerland and USA. The rest are on my list. Let’s see, when. We worked in Nepal for a while and really enjoyed our stay. We stayed in The Courtyard which is like an oasis in Thamel but what is unique about it is its Library where guests who want gather there and have drinks before dinner enjoying each other’s stories of their wanderings of the day. A great experience. Pokhara is truly beautiful and your pictures really capture this.
Made three business trips to California. The second included a time out with my business partner and colleagues to visit Disneyland. At first wasn’t too enthused learning of the event traveling from Florida and thought to be like Disney World. It is so true about the attention to detail, magic. There was a live performance of the Blues Brothers in the courtyard that was amazingly like right out of the movie. Harpo Marx with his horn and lovable nature got the best of me, a good sport among the crowd. Tickles my recall. We were fortunate to find Oriental Cuisine that was tasty and not too expensive. The trip was during off season. California is a beautiful state with it’s different terrains and foliage. It is a place to see, more than once in a lifetime. Thanks for taking me down memory lane.
