When it comes to adventure travel the destination should be as adventurous as the activities planned. Every morning the resort’s staff cleared away the overnight seaweed washed in, swept up the trekked in sand on the wooden walkways and dusted off the kicked up sand on the blue, beach loungers. These loungers were then placed in neat rows to await the new day’s sun worshipers. What a beautiful sight that was to see the row after row of loungers on an empty beach. Around 1PM every afternoon, a waiter walks the long beach taking drink orders. Wildlife lovers can elect to take safari-type tours in this area. In the wintertime, some of those tours are by sleigh rides in the snow! The National Elk Refuge, 1.9 miles from the center of the city, attracts herds of elk in the autumn and winter months. Always be proactive and book a car so that even friends and family can also travel along. Standard shift is the common kinds of vehicles that you will find in Greece. Moreover, if you wish to go to far off places, you will have to stick to public transport like buses and taxis.
New Friends – Generally people who book an organised tour with a specific company all have similar interests. I have made some amazing friends through doing organised tours and still, to this day, keep in touch with them. All these types of tourism have marked great growth in last few decades. Now the Indian Government too is paying extreme attention in this direction and is trying to develop India as one of the most explored travel destinations. We decided to have lunch. Taking heed of Rick Steve’s warning that the restaurants nearer the canal are more expensive we headed inward, but found that local merchants also read Rick’s books. The further away the more expensive the prices seemed to be. Eventually, we ran out of time as they began to close for the afternoon. We visited the Devil’s Forest Pub for sandwiches and beer, which stays open all day. Our Liverpudlian bartender joined Peter Tosh on CD singing the reggae version (and one of my favorite renditions) of Johnny B. Goode, “Mama said son you gotta be a man, You gotta be the leader of a reggae band.” We had entertainment as well as sandwiches.
“If life gives you lemons, make lemonade!” I have seen Las Vegas in such a beautifully crowd-less and calm phase as not many get to see it. I feel I got a very unique experience- an adventure that I would tell my grandchildren and brag about (lol). We learned a lot from it. Our problem solving skills were improved drastically. I got to know my friends better and that what they mean to me. Our friendship bond survived the hardships of a pandemic. We were able to make it one of the most memorable trips of our lives. We laughed, we traveled, we ate, we lived and most importantly we took care of each other by giving each other hand sanitizers etc. every other second, together! I don’t think our spring break experience during COVID-19 was bad. It was just “Differently Good”.
When the same destinations appearing again and again in your social media feed—coworkers headed to Tulum for a break from the cold? Friends posting selfies from the Blue Lagoon in Iceland?—you might have discovered a travel trend. Travel + Leisure’s writers and editors pay close attention not only to the latest in popular destinations, but also to industry-wide trends like the growth of peer-to-peer rental services (such as Airbnb), the resumption travel insurance of commercial flights between Cuba and the United States, or the shockingly high rates of unused paid time off for millennial workers. Learn about up-and-coming trends for consumers and for the industry. I’m trying to learn as much as I can about Nepal and Nepalese cultures before I go. It didn’t take long to realize, though the country isn’t very large, there is much diversity amongst its people, not to mention its landscape.
